Here is a little something I did in front of a class of students.
I was there to kinda explain my job and how I got there.
As some of you may /may not know, I'm a highschool dropout.

So basically I was in front of 15-16 year old kids, asking what they would like to see draw, and telling them taht it's possible to make it in life without a diploma.
Yeah I know... I'm a horrible person... but dont' worry, society is way worse than me.

Sometimes I was just waiting a couples minutes and I had the reflex of drawing the street.

It's not good... but at least it's practice!
Going To SDCC (the San Diego Comic Convention), I remembered how Art can be academic.. I mean almost with grades and all...

I dont' think I see my art in any class... So I try not to think about the industry like that...

This one I did super Drunk with my girlfriend...

And a bonus painting at the end!
I had time to do this lazy in the afternoon... drinking a Heineken under the sun, and near the pool... MERCI NICOLE!!!!!!

This is insane,
About a week ago, I uploaded a video on Youtube using the music from GHOST (Nine inch nails). and a couple days after I hear about this contest organised by NINEINCHNAILS.

The Idea is to make movies inspired by their music. They will then choose their favorite ones and do some sort of film festival.

Hey all,

Lot's have happened since my last post.

1- I've finished my contract at Ubisoft. I still can't tell the name of the game I was working on, be be sure I'll let you know when it comes out!

2- The cryptopsy Album is almost finished!

3- My girlfriend's short movie "ZOVNI" is finished! I did the storyboards and some special fx for it. You can check out the cover here:

4- I'm going to new york for a couple of days... will write more when I come back!!!

Hey, I'm back!

The Ubisoft contract isin't quite finished yet due to gamedesign modifications, should work again with them soon...

In the meantime, I've got a lot of stuff coming up. The Grimwar video is coming along great, I think it will be worth the wait... I'm working with Jon Veltman on this one, He's a real nice guy, and very proffessional! (I mean that in a good way, not in a cold and boring way...)

Also, more good news... I will be published monthly in the magazine "Les DÉBROUILLARDS".
I will do 4 pages a month for a period of 12 months...after that the whole thing gets collected in one trade paperback... I cant' wait.

The story is written by the great BRYAN PERRO, fine dude, really creative and funny.
I think his story is brilliant! here's a first look at the main characters:

I'm a guy from the 6th

It was my birthday last thursday.
And I got a really big and weird present.
I got hired as a concept artist by UBISOFT!
That's right, I signed my contract on the 6th of september.
So far It's really awesome, I can't talk about what project I am on, but I will just say that it fits my style perfectly. I feel honored to be part of the team and can't wait to play the game already!

It feels weird to go to the office every morning. I'm used to work during the night because it's always quiet and no one bothers me.
Now, it's the opposite, not that people bother me or anything but this is not a solo job. I need to talk to members of my team many times a day. And waking up a 7am for me, is surreal!
last night I fell asleep in front of my computer at home, and it wasn't even 1 AM!

well, my contract will last 2 months so the blog will probably chill for that period.

Here's 2 pictures for an upcoming short story to be published by the good fellows over at FRONTFROID

So here's what the animation will look like in the end.I think It's much better than the previous 3d wannabe visuals that I had a couple weeks ago.
The whole Idea of this new look is to fake perspective with the camera, but what you are seeing is only 2d planes in a 3d space...
