Hey all,

Lot's have happened since my last post.

1- I've finished my contract at Ubisoft. I still can't tell the name of the game I was working on, be be sure I'll let you know when it comes out!

2- The cryptopsy Album is almost finished!

3- My girlfriend's short movie "ZOVNI" is finished! I did the storyboards and some special fx for it. You can check out the cover here:






4- I'm going to new york for a couple of days... will write more when I come back!!!

I'm still working at Ubi.
Besides that I'm working on some comics, the cover for Cryptopsy's new album and Doing GRIMWAR at the same time!

I have no time to blog... O_O

Hey, I'm back!

The Ubisoft contract isin't quite finished yet due to gamedesign modifications, should work again with them soon...

In the meantime, I've got a lot of stuff coming up. The Grimwar video is coming along great, I think it will be worth the wait... I'm working with Jon Veltman on this one, He's a real nice guy, and very proffessional! (I mean that in a good way, not in a cold and boring way...)

Also, more good news... I will be published monthly in the magazine "Les DÉBROUILLARDS".
I will do 4 pages a month for a period of 12 months...after that the whole thing gets collected in one trade paperback... I cant' wait.

The story is written by the great BRYAN PERRO, fine dude, really creative and funny.
I think his story is brilliant! here's a first look at the main characters:

I'm a guy from the 6th

It was my birthday last thursday.
And I got a really big and weird present.
I got hired as a concept artist by UBISOFT!
That's right, I signed my contract on the 6th of september.
So far It's really awesome, I can't talk about what project I am on, but I will just say that it fits my style perfectly. I feel honored to be part of the team and can't wait to play the game already!

It feels weird to go to the office every morning. I'm used to work during the night because it's always quiet and no one bothers me.
Now, it's the opposite, not that people bother me or anything but this is not a solo job. I need to talk to members of my team many times a day. And waking up a 7am for me, is surreal!
last night I fell asleep in front of my computer at home, and it wasn't even 1 AM!

well, my contract will last 2 months so the blog will probably chill for that period.

So here's what the animation will look like in the end.I think It's much better than the previous 3d wannabe visuals that I had a couple weeks ago.
The whole Idea of this new look is to fake perspective with the camera, but what you are seeing is only 2d planes in a 3d space...
I'll post the animation here soon!

The things you learn in life...

Here's what I'm working on theses days, It's a little animation sequence for the short movie called "Une de perdue".
A couple of weeks ago I tried to construct a whole city in 3d using after effects.
Bad Idea.
1rst of all, AE isn't a 3d program, It does have 3d utilities, but you can't really model stuff.
So don't try this at home kids!
I'll post the final scene soon, and explain a bit how I solved my problem.
In the meantime, I started a new sketchbook, did a little painting in it just for fun!
